NEMMO project team participates at ICOE-OEE 2022 in San Sebastian, Spain

The NEMMO project and partners had the opportunity to participate in different activities of the world’s leading ocean energy event, ICOE-OEE 2022 conference & exhibition, from 18-20 October in Donostia / San Sebastian, Spain. The 3 days event reunited 600 ocean energy professionals and decision-makers from around the world.

Exhibition Stand

A NEMMO stand was present during the 3 days event and was hosted by Tecnalia, INPRE and other project partners that participated in the conference. The project leaflets were distributed at the full branded NEMMO stand.

Poster Presentation

More than 70 posters (divided in 3 tracks) were exposed and presented during the event. Daniel Caceres from ITAINNOVA, one of the project partners, presented a poster titled “Methodology for the life calculation of tidal turbine blades under damage tolerance consideration”, as part of the poster session for conference track 2: Cross-cutting research & technology development.

Tech Trail: INPRE/Magallanes full-size tidal turbine blade display

The Tech Trail at ICOE-OEE 2022 showcased 5 devices and components from some of the sector’s leading wave and tidal energy developers.

NEMMO’s full-size tidal turbine blade was one of them, which was exposed in front of the venue’s entrance. Information panels with the project’s branding were placed along with the blade.

Given its location, it not only had a great exposure among delegates, but also among the general public.
